Hey guys! Welcome to Entertaining the RV Life

Hey there! I’m Holly—wife, mom, food lover, recipe writer, and full-time RVer… or at least, that was the plan.

Cooking has always been my passion, and I’ve spent years learning how to make incredible meals no matter where I am—whether in a spacious home kitchen or a tiny RV with barely enough counter space for a cutting board.

I started my blog Entertaining the RV Life to share my love of food, travel, and the unique challenges (and joys!) of cooking on the road.

If you had asked me a couple of years ago where I saw myself today, I would have told you I’d be waking up to a new view every morning, making coffee in our tiny RV kitchen, and cooking my way across the country. My husband and I had big plans—full-time RV living, endless road trips, and a lifestyle centered around adventure and freedom.

But then life happened.

My dad had a stroke, and suddenly, everything shifted. Instead of chasing the open road, we found ourselves staying put, helping him through recovery, and navigating a new reality we hadn’t planned for. The dream didn’t disappear—it just had to be put on the back burner.

Adjusting the Journey

For now, we travel as often as we can, squeezing in road trips whenever life allows. While we may not be full-time RVers at the moment, the heart of Entertaining the RV Life hasn’t changed. I’m still here to share recipes that work in small kitchens, tips for cooking with limited space, and stories from the road—even if those stories are a little closer to home right now.

Because here’s the thing: whether we’re parked for a while or moving every week, the joy of cooking, exploring, and making the most of every meal doesn’t change.

What to Expect from This Blog

This space is all about embracing adventure—both in travel and in the kitchen. Here’s what you’ll find:

What You Won’t Find Here

If you’re looking for perfectly staged, magazine-worthy food photography, this might not be the place for you. I’m not a professional food photographer (although I’d love to master that skill someday) —I’m a real person cooking in a real (and often messy) kitchen.

I take step-by-step photos as I go, so you’ll always see exactly what the process looks like, not just a polished final product (although occasionally, I do attempt that, too).

Most of my photos are taken right in the middle of cooking, with my iPhone camera, in whatever lighting I happen to have that day.

Because at the end of the day, I want you to see the real me, the real process, and the real food you’ll actually be making in your kitchen.

Minimal fluff—just good food and practical steps to help you make it yourself.

The Road Ahead

One day, we’ll be back on the road full-time. That dream is still alive and well—it just looks a little different right now. In the meantime, I’ll keep sharing recipes and everything I’ve learned about cooking in tiny spaces, making incredible meals in an RV kitchen, and finding new adventures wherever we can.

Life doesn’t always go as planned, but that doesn’t mean we stop pursuing the things that bring us joy. So whether you’re a full-time RVer, a weekend traveler, or just someone who loves a good meal, I hope you’ll stick around. There are plenty of amazing meals and adventures ahead—no matter where life takes us.

If you are new to Entertaining the RV Life here are some good places to start. I will add content as often as I can, but you can count on me to post at least once a week.

I’m so excited to start this new adventure together! Please check back weekly for more delicious recipes from my RV kitchen to yours.
