If you ask any full-time RVer what they love most about life on the road, they’ll often tell you – it’s getting to experience all the amazingly diverse cultures that make up the rich tapestry of this amazing country.
From coast to coast, each state offers its own unique flavors, traditions, and culinary heritage waiting to be discovered.
Our dream is to eventually visit all 50 states in our RV, immersing ourselves in the local flavors and traditions firsthand. But until then, we’ll bring the tastes of the Nation home.
Week by week, I will add to this collection featuring the most iconic recipes from each of the 50 states.
I’ll be testing savory staples like Louisiana’s hearty gumbo, Carolina’s vinegar-laced pulled pork, and New Mexico’s soul-warming green chili stew.
We’ll indulge in regional delacacies like Maryland’s famous crab cakes, New York’s legendary bagles with lox, and Chicago’s iconic deep dish pizza.
Not only will I try to replicate each state’s most famous dishes, but I’ll also dive deep into their unique food story, uncovering the multicultural influences, local ingredients, and age-old techniques that have defined their most popular recipes over generations.
