Cooking for two looks different than it used to

Dinner shouldn't be the hardest
decision of your day

Five dinners, one grocery list, ingredients that actually overlap - so you stop wasting food and stop dreading the question of what's for dinner tonight.

🌿 Weekly menus · Scaled for two · No waste 🌿

It's not the cooking - it's the deciding.

Have you ever felt this way?

I'm tired of buying ingredients for one recipe and watching the rest go bad.

Some nights I'm one decision away from ordering takeout.

By the end of the day, deciding what to cook feels harder than actually cooking.

Cooking for two means leftovers pile up fast and meals start feeling repetitive.

I don't mind leftovers, but I don't want the same dinner on repeat all week.

Meal planning apps feel complicated when I just want something simple.

There's a better way.

What you get

Two at the Table

Weekly dinner menus built for two - real portions, ingredients that overlap on purpose, and enough flexibility to actually fit your life.

Weekly Dinner Menus

Five planned dinners each week - with room built in for eating out, leftovers, or a family night.

Scaled for Two

Portions that make sense for two - without a fridge full of leftovers you won't touch.

One Simple Grocery List

Everything you need in one list - with ingredient overlap so you actually use what you buy.

Intentional Overlap

Meals share ingredients without feeling repetitive - fewer random one-off buys and less food going to waste.

Access to Past Menus

Every menu stays available so you can grab a past week anytime you need a plan.

Interactive Grocery Lists

Check off items as you shop - right from your phone. No printing, no second-guessing what's already in the cart.

This might be for you if...

Two at the Table is perfect for anyone who

Wants a weekly plan so dinner doesn't turn into a daily debate.

Is tired of buying ingredients for one recipe and tossing the rest.

Needs quick, doable dinners that still feel like real food.

Wants meals that feel different all week without buying a ton of ingredients.

Doesn't mind cooking, but doesn't have the bandwidth to think about it every night.

Is cooking for two and wants less waste, fewer random leftovers, and more variety.

That's me - let's do this

Meet the creator

Hi, I'm Holly

I'm the voice behind Entertaining the RV Life - a food blog built around real meals, real life, and the kind of cooking that actually fits into a busy week.

When Ken and I became empty nesters, I realized pretty quickly that everything I knew about cooking for a family didn't translate. I was buying too much, wasting too much, and honestly just tired of making the same decisions every single night.

Two at the Table grew out of that season. It's the plan I wished I'd had - simple weekly menus built for two, with ingredients that overlap on purpose so nothing goes to waste and dinner still feels like something worth sitting down for.

Everything here is tested in my own kitchen (and sometimes our RV), written the way I actually cook, and built to make your week a little easier.

Frequently Asked Questions

These plans are designed specifically for two people - portions that make sense and ingredients that actually get used up. No more buying a bunch of something and watching half of it go bad.

The menus are flexible by design. Cook them in any order, skip a night, swap a meal - the plan is there to make your week easier, not to lock you in. Real life always comes first.

Everything is delivered digitally through Substack - menus, recipes, and your interactive grocery list arrive straight to your inbox each week. No apps to download, no extra accounts to manage.

Absolutely. The plans are built for two, but scaling up is easy when family comes to town or you want to feed a crowd. Most recipes double without any fuss.

Yes. These recipes are written for real life - straightforward, forgiving, and practical. You don't need to be a great cook. You just need to know what you're making tonight.

You can cancel anytime straight from Substack - no emails to send, no hoops to jump through, no awkward phone calls. If it's not the right fit, no hard feelings.
