If you like to plan ahead (like I do), then you know there are just going to be nights when cooking dinner isn't realistic. And while grabbing takeout might be tempting, having something like this prepped and ready to go means you can skip the drive-thru and still enjoy something fresh, satisfying, and way better for you.

Why You'll Love These Chicken Caesar Wraps

  • Super quick and easy

  • Great way to use leftover or store-bought chicken

  • Can be prepped entirely ahead of time

  • Portable and RV-friendly

  • Picky-eater approved

You could swap out the chicken in this recipe for this Avocado Tuna Salad. This is just another great example of a quick and healthy lunch or dinner that you will feel good about eating.

Let's gather up the ingredients

Organizing all of your ingredients ahead of time not only streamlines the cooking process but also ensures you have everything required to complete the dish successfully. You can find the exact ingredient amounts in the recipe card below.

  • Tortillas- Large burrito-sized. You can even make your own using my Homemade Flour Tortilla Recipe
  • Romaine lettuce- Washed and chopped

  • Avocado- Plan ahead so your avocado is ripe when you need it. This is how to choose the perfect avocado.

  • Shortcut Caesar Dressing

  • Bacon- Cook it ahead of time so it's ready to go.

  • Chicken- This is a great use for whatever kind of leftover chicken you have.

  • Cheese- I love crumbled Blue Cheese in these wraps, but use what you love.

How to Prep Everything Ahead of Time

The key to making these wraps come together fast is prepping your components in advance. Here's how I like to do it:

Chicken

Use whatever chicken you have on hand. Grilled chicken from the weekend, leftover roast chicken, or even a store-bought rotisserie chicken all work well. Just shred or chop it, then store it in an airtight container in the fridge.

Shortcut Caesar Dressing

This is the flavor booster that ties everything together. My shortcut Caesar dressing is super easy to make-just shake everything up in a mason jar and refrigerate.

Romaine Lettuce

I like to wash and chop my romaine lettuce as soon as I get home from the store, then store it in Ziplock bags. It saves time later and doesn't hog space in our RV fridge. Pre-bagged lettuce works too, but it's usually more expensive.

Bacon

I cook it on a Bacon Tray, then wrap the slices in paper towels and store them in a Ziplock bag. You can reheat it in seconds when you're ready to eat.

Assembly Tips

When you're ready to eat, just layer the chopped romaine, shredded chicken, crispy bacon, and a drizzle of Caesar dressing into a tortilla. Roll it up like a burrito or fold it like a flat wrap-whatever works. You can also sprinkle on some Parmesan cheese for an extra punch of flavor.

Tip for success: Warm your tortilla slightly before assembling so it's easier to roll without tearing.

FAQ

Can I make Chicken Caesar Wraps ahead of time?
Yes! Just keep the components separate and assemble when you're ready to eat.

What's the best tortilla to use?
Large flour tortillas or low-carb wraps work well. Make sure they're soft so they don't crack when rolling.

Can I use bagged Caesar salad mix?
Sure. It's a great shortcut, especially if you're in a pinch. Just skip the homemade dressing step.

Can these be made gluten-free?
Yes, just use a gluten-free wrap or tortilla, and make sure your Caesar dressing is gluten-free too.

Storage Tips

  • Prepped ingredients: Store separately in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • Assembled wraps: Best eaten fresh, but can be wrapped tightly in foil and stored for 1-2 days. If you're packing them to go, keep the dressing separate until just before eating so the lettuce stays crisp.

Serving Suggestions

These wraps make a complete meal on their own, but if you're serving a crowd or want to bulk it up a bit, try adding:

  • A handful of croutons inside the wrap for crunch

  • A side of kettle chips or fresh fruit

  • A simple tomato cucumber salad

Cooking for two

For years, I was used to cooking for a full table-two growing boys with big appetites, plus my husband and me. Now that we're empty nesters, I've had to rethink the way I cook.

Scaling down recipes isn't always as simple as cutting everything in half, and when we're traveling, our RV fridge just isn't big enough to hold a bunch of leftovers. At the same time, I don't want to give up the meals we've always loved.

That's why I have started to write my recipes both ways-one for a family-sized portion and one designed just for two. Whether you're still cooking for a crowd or figuring out how to make your favorite dishes work in a smaller household, I want my recipes to be flexible and practical for wherever you are in life.

This recipe, however, is super flexible. Make a little or a lot. Just double or triple the ingredients if you're cooking for a crowd.

Final Thoughts

These Chicken Caesar Wraps are everything I love in an RV-friendly recipe-simple, customizable, and easy to pull together on a busy day. Whether you're meal prepping for the week or tossing together dinner on the fly, this is one wrap recipe you'll come back to again and again.

I could eat this for lunch EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. It's one of those recipes that's got a really high delicious/nutritious to effort ratio. It's got plenty of protein and healthy fats to keep me satisfied until dinner, but without feeling heavy. Love it.

I love how versatile this recipe is and my kids really enjoyed these wraps! They both love lettuce. As for me, I swapped the romaine lettuce for spinach, and it turned out great. Yummy healthy greens!
